Limiting BEV Errors on Electric Cars
Electric cars often encounter a BEV (motor) error when starting the vehicle. You will not be able to perform any further operations.

Causes
This is my personal assumption; the manufacturer has not provided any official explanation.
- The motor has an error due to the car rolling/slipping when stopped; the control system records a motor fault and therefore does not allow the car to start for safety reasons.
- The 12V battery is weak and cannot start the system.
How to reduce this error
- Always follow the correct procedure when stopping:
- Engage the parking brake.
- Shift to P.
- Turn off the car.
- Limit unnecessary 12V battery drain:
- When not doing anything, avoid opening the doors frequently, as the car will wake up many times and drain the 12V battery. Or if you need to go back to the car continuously, turn on the green mode in advance.
- Do not repeatedly lock and unlock the car, which causes it to wake up. Especially for those who have modified the key to auto-unlock when approaching, you should turn off this feature and only keep the auto-lock function when walking away.
- Avoid letting the car roll in gear when stopped; always follow the correct procedure and minimize situations where the car is parked on a slant, on a slope, or half on the sidewalk, etc.
Steps to handle the issue
If you press the brake and the start button and encounter this error, stay calm and follow the steps below so the car can reset the error.
- Turn off the car, lock the doors, and either sit still inside the car or step outside for about 1 minute.
- Unlock the car, get back in, and press the start button twice (to enter green-light mode). Do not press the brake. If the error message no longer appears, proceed to the next step.
- Press the brake and press the start button to shift into gear and drive.
